That picture above of me on a birthing ball with my husband was taken on a regular IPhone. I did not consider birth photography and honestly did not know it was a thing. When my midwife happen to tell me after our followup appointment that she had taken pictures, I was shocked because I never saw her taking pictures. She was discreet and still attentive. Upon looking at the photos, it was something I never knew I needed. I am grateful that she was able to capture moments that I find myself looking back on often. I just wish I could have found a birth photographer beforehand to really catch every detail and allow me to relive those great memories.
